So, I believe I told you about how Izzy and I were driving home one day and she started singing from the backseat about Antarctica, Cuba, Greenland, etc. All these continents and countries. I about drove the car off the road with delight. Come to find out she has been learning the 14 countries in North America, the continents, Western Europe, and South America. You should hear her sing about Luxembourg and Belgium as well as Bolivia and Peru. It blows us away. We have been practicing pointing at the countries when she sings them since she can find California on the map and where Shamu is.
Last night I asked her after a round of the Western European countries, "Izzy how many countries are in Western Europe?" She replied back with, " 21..... no 22!" I about fell over. She wasn't right (I Googled it to find out there are 46 countries in Europe), but how does a 3 year old even have that thought? Paul and I talked that if he has to keep the girls home he has a lot to compete with. He proceeded to tell me that he would talk with her teacher and get the words (which I was able to get from the teacher today). Paul got very excited and started to think about how he can make up a song for the countries of Africa.
