For Sydney's birthday, we decided Paul would take the girls to the circus and then we would have a sleep over complete with Uncle Paul's famous pancake breakfast. As you can see the girl's had a great time. Tiger sno-cones, becoming part of the pre-show, and watching the Greatest Show on Earth!

Homework Time

Homework time at our house is a seven day a week event. We do about 20 min a day and spread the homework packet out so that we accomplish a little bit each night so it is not overwhelming. For this assignment, we had to cut the numbers 1-50 and then put them back into order. We made it a two day assignment by cutting the numbers and then finding out where it goes on this large hundreds chart and then the next day using our chart to glue them back on to the page.

Our Cutie

This kid has quite the personality. I mean look at these pictures. Each are so different and yet speak so much: independence, sassyness, and caution.

Gold Rush Days

We discovered an awesome Sacramento event, Gold Rush Days which happens every Labor Day. We were treated with authentic costumes, shoot-outs, cavalrys, and a horse ride for Izzy. There was so much to see and do that we didn't get to do much, especially with Rees, but it defnitely made us realize that we will be back next year not only to try some food, see some more shows, soak in the historical value and escape to the 1800s.

Fairy in Training

Okay, just imagine... 6:15am Monday morning. Rees, Izzy, and I are in the car heading down the highway. The girls in the backseat buckled up. Izzy is cranky and every little noise is bothering her. Rees is sitting in her seat, happy as can be. Rees has a plastic fork from a restaurant in her mouth and she is using it as a fairy wand saying "ppppssss" and pointing it at things. So of course this is driving Izzy CRAZY! So Izzy in her most crankiest voice says, "Reesie stop it!" Rees turns to her (mind you I can see the whole thing in the rear view mirror), and gives her, her biggest big girl, "Ppppsss!" and points her fork/I mean wand at her. I start dying laughing because Rees basically tried to make her sister disappear. If this was a Hollywood movie, there would have been a cloud of smoke and Izzy would have been gone. I try to help Izzy out by saying, "Reesie be nice to your sister." Can you imagine what Rees did???? Yes, she pointed that magic fork... I mean wand... and "Ppppsss!" me right out of the car. This kid is hilarious. So funny. We figured out, finally what Rees is going to be for Hallloween. A fairy. So we will be trading the fork for a wand.
