Well, I have said from the beginning this kid is going to be into everything and yesterday was just the start. She was on her belly next to Izzy and I in the living room just scooting around on her belly and if you know Rees, she only goes backwards. So she scooted herself over the door and was playing with the door stopper. She was having a great time listening to the stopper make noise. Then I realized the stopper is not making noise and the white cap is now missing. Yes, she pulled the small, little cap and put it in her mouth. (Sigh). Paul is now epoxying all of the door stoppers.
Then to top this all off, she was sitting in her Bumbo on the counter with us while we were making lunch. Let me back up, her new fascination is spoons. So in the sink was a shiny fork and to an 8 month old that probably looked like a great replacement for a spoon. As Paul and I were putting cream cheese on the bagels, not an arm distance away, Rees decided to arch her back so far that she came out of the Bumbo and landed in the sink. Scared the do-do out of us and her and she now officially can sit on the floor. She is a dare devil. So I am learning that if there is a warning or I have a heard a warning regarding something, I will need to follow it EVEN if Izzy had not problems.
Not my brightest parenting moments.... however we later went to get our taxes done and for two hours we had two kids under the age of 4 that barely made a peep and were complimented profusely on their quiet and appropriate public behavior. Good girls!
