This blog is a story of two parents, both special educaton teachers, trying to raise a first grader and a precocious preschooler. We love to travel, cook, tend to our "backyard farm", and spend time with each other.

Staying Home With The Kids
I have to say, I love staying home with the kids, but I also love working. It is so nice to hang out in my pajamas, have time with just Rees, eat breakfast with her, see Izzy walk down the hall and then run to get her morning hug and squeeze, cook her breakfast, do clean up and start our day with no rush. We go for strolls around the neighborhood. Our favorite right now is up to our lovely park and ride bus stop. We are planning on maybe taking the bus into town and then having Paul pick us up. What an adventure! Then we have snacks and lunch, rest time for Izzy, more snack. There are times where I feel like all I do is change diapers, make food, and clean up food, but I am not complaining because I know my time is short with them and then back to having someone else raise my kids. So for the next 48 days or so, absolutely no complaints for me. I love being with them and so grateful that I can do this.
