Dentist

I have to say I have not been the world's best mom when it comes to brushing teeth. I never wiped their little teeth with a cloth or scrubbed those first new teeth, I barely had Izzy start brushing them until around 2. So I have always been a little anxious to find out how bad are they when we finally do get our first appointment. With Rees I am overcome by the order in which her pearly whites are coming in: bottom three, eye tooth left, now eye tooth right, then bottom right, and again bottom left. So ultimately we are missing our two front teeth. So I wanted to make an appointment with the dentist to make sure that she is okay. It took us three weeks to get in, but it was all worth it. Izzy hopped on up the chair and got x-rays, teeth cleaning, and Princess and the Frog. She couldn't stop telling the dental hygienist all about the movie while he was cleaning her teeth. I did get the look about why I haven't been flossing her teeth and in my mind all I can think is "Hello, she's four! I never flossed my teeth at 4". So Her report from the dentist was perfect, beautiful, no cavities, not even a stain. I attribute it to two things: no juice and our kids Sonicare toothbrush (worth every penny). Reesie had flying colors as well. The doctor is not concerned because she can feel the two front teeth. Her recommendation get some more teething toys. So in the end, I guess I am doing something right.
