37 Weeks One day

Thought you'd like to see a new picture. I am 37 weeks and one day in this picture and ready to have a baby. I have gained almost exactly 30 lbs and ready to see her. Anyone want to take beats on how big she is? I am going with high 7's, low 8's. I think it is another 8 pound Bass.

School

We have been working really hard to establish a routine, that will probably only get thrown in the air once the baby comes. We have had a lot of fun too. This is what we did for one of our activities for our F letter week. She stuck on the frog stickers. Then she lined the frogs up and then extended the activities even further and matched the colors. The word frog is also hers on the page. We have been dotting the letters and she can trace them. Independently writing the letters is just not happening, but with this she is fully capable. The top picture of her on the pear box is her doing a shape puzzle and underneath her is her letter K books (books of the week based on the letter she is working on). I always knew the pear boxes would come in handy and they are a perfect work station for her.

Art Beast

Took Izzy and Sydney to a really cool place called Art Beast. Although, somewhat expensive, so worth it. It meets every expectation Paul and I have for educating Izzy: sensory, fine motor, art, child directed, music, play, etc. I love how the girls, even though very different ages, were able to get something completely different out of the experience and even within each room. The only bad part was that sometimes one wanted to spend a lot more time in one room that I couldn't supervise because they were too far apart. We spent an hour and an a half and easily could have spent longer.

Baby Soon

I like the ticker on the side of the page "Weight gain beginning to show". Obviously that means for baby, but my large basketball is sure getting uncomfortable. I am not sleeping well at all. I am beginning to get hungry again which hasn't really been an issue at all this pregnancy. My feet and hands are swelling to the point that I actually had trouble getting my rings off last night which should never happen because they are pretty loose. Her movement is up and painful. She thinks that she is still 3 or 4 lbs and has all the room in the world. Little does she know it hurts mommy every time she turns, kicks, punches, wiggles, etc. I see the doctor Friday so maybe some more has happened or my wishful thinking maybe I will be in labor. Positive thinking and I keep having chats with her. We are now healthy enough to come and definitely big enough, you should see the belly.

Getting Ready

Went to the doctor last Thursday and she immediately said, "I need one more week out of you. She can come at 36 weeks, but it would be better at 37 weeks." So I am 2 cm and she is head down. My contractions tonight have been harder than previous months and I beginning to run out of energy. I scared Paul tonight with my pain and he started asking me if my bags were packed. So yes, they are packed and ready. The bad part of all of this is I have a very busy week, which of course babies obviously don't have an agenda. I have a great day with my niece and Izzy planned tomorrow, grocery shopping and library on Tuesday, Wed and Thursday we have 5 different sub-contractors coming in to replace a window, an outside light, paint the shutters and outside garage door, and grout the bathrooms as well as Open House at school, Friday is a doctor's appointment, and to top it all off we have Grandma and Grandpa coming into town and Brandon and Sarah's family. So does anyone want to take bets now that we may have a Mother's Day baby?
