Best Baby

I continue to rave about this baby. She is a dream. Good traveler, good eater, GREAT sleeper, can almost fully hold her head up, watches us especially her sister who she loves to listen to, and is beginning to practice sitting in her Bumbo seat which is always helpful for when we are cooking or doing dishes. Her only fault so far is that I need a bath towel to contain the spit up. Yes, she's a spitter. I can't quite figure her out and obviously need to do a lot more research as to why she is doing this; however, I am not concerned enough at this time to see a doctor or anything like that. As I read in an article when she first started doing this which was practically when we left the hospital which is probably another reason why I am pumping milk from her to avoid literally being spit up on, the article said, " Spitting up is not a medical issue, it is a laundry issue." Well, to the author of that article, "I do three loads of laundry a week in my high capacity washer. I change no fewer than 5 bibs and rotate out 5 burp clothes a day. I am spit up on at least twice daily requiring at least one change of clothes. I have tried three different bottles all with the same results. I guess I will endure... until she can hold her bottle."

Izzy's New Bed

Most people are happy to sleep in a bed. Actually, most people in this world would love to just have a bed, but my child is perfectly content laying on her Montessori mat in her "cave". Auntie Jess bought us this imaginary tent building kit for her birthday that we didn't have time to use, until now and boy is it a hit. The kit comes with clips, string, and suction cups to use and Paul rigged up this tent like contraption for her that she is just in love with. Everyday we have to clean it out because it becomes full of books, toys, dolls, sippy cups, clothes, etc. a true cave of sorts. This experience continues to prove my theory that less is more and that a child truly is happier without the latest whatever toy or gimmicky idea.
