Most people are happy to sleep in a bed. Actually, most people in this world would love to just have a bed, but my child is perfectly content laying on her Montessori mat in her "cave". Auntie Jess bought us this imaginary tent building kit for her birthday that we didn't have time to use, until now and boy is it a hit. The kit comes with clips, string, and suction cups to use and Paul rigged up this tent like contraption for her that she is just in love with. Everyday we have to clean it out because it becomes full of books, toys, dolls, sippy cups, clothes, etc. a true cave of sorts. This experience continues to prove my theory that less is more and that a child truly is happier without the latest whatever toy or gimmicky idea.
This blog is a story of two parents, both special educaton teachers, trying to raise a first grader and a precocious preschooler. We love to travel, cook, tend to our "backyard farm", and spend time with each other.
