300th Post

I have hit a momentous occasion my 300th (well 301st) post. Thought you'd might like to see my very first post, which is like "Groundhog's Day" (the movie).

April 17th, 2007--- Well, she has changed so much. I keep thinking about writing, but then run out of time. I don't want to forget these moments because I can already tell they are happening too quick.

We had a huge momentous occasion last night, Izzy slept through the night!!! After an hour and 45 minutes, a huge spit-up that required me to take a shower, I was through with her (9:00pm). I told Paul, "she's your's". I put her in the swing and that is where she was at 4:30 am when I woke her up. She was so sleepy. I think she was worn out from yesterday or is going through a growth spurt. It was kind of scary though since she has never slept longer than 5 hours. I had to check her. I touched her chest and she, "hissed" at me like a snake. That let me know she was okay.

She is also smiling more. It is so cute. I can't wait to catch it on camera.

She turned her head two days ago while on her belly (180 degrees). She is also grasping more with her hands and loves to kick her block when she is on her back.

Not on a schedule yet. She is pretty much feeding and sleeping during the day when she wants, but at 6:00pm we take a walk, start bath time, get into jammies, and then feed and rock. She has been doing pretty good with going to bed (of course minus last night).

Skype

Last night, we tried the COOLEST thing, Skype. We were able to see, hear, and talk to my parents in Southern California and they were able to see the girls. It kind of was like we were there with them. Technology is so cool. Hopefully we will be able to talk with them at least weekly so that they can see the girls, especially Rees who is growing so quickly and Izzy who will be able to have full conversations with them.

Going Out With Two Kids

I pride myself in being super organized and confidant. However, I am still nervous about one thing, taking two kids out in public. It is a scary thing for me and almost drives me to a stomachache. I think it is because I am out of control (not literally). Different people, situations, experiences, and dangers. I know it will get easier with practice. Today I took them both to a Baby Camp ran through First 5 Yuba. It was great! We had time to play, dance, sing, and best of all mommy got time to learn about good nutrition for the girls and we received some really cool things. It is everyday this week so hopefully by the end of the week, I can muster going out more with them alone.
