Potty training

I have had several conversations with other moms about potty training. Is it always this easy? Is my first question. We have 1-2 accidents a week. We are going potty in public. She wears undies all day and only pull-ups at night. And may I say she is not even 2. This may be easy, but Paul and I were talking about how hard it was to get her to sleep in a bed (i.e. I held her for the first 6 weeks, she then transitioned to the car seat in the crib and then in the crib), she hated the bottle (took first bottle at about 12 weeks), and to go to sleep we held her for the first 12 months till she fell asleep. So this may be easy but all those other things were tough.
