This blog is a story of two parents, both special educaton teachers, trying to raise a first grader and a precocious preschooler. We love to travel, cook, tend to our "backyard farm", and spend time with each other.

Toddler going on Teenager
I have always said I am raising a teenager even though we just celebrated 2. She rarely wants to be cuddled, "super" independent, quiet, thinker, wants to be alone, writes on herself, doesn't want to eat veggies, and the best one so far "Go away, Mom-my!" "What?" I said. Yes, she told me to go away, so I did. I walked away from her tower and sat on the farthest bar stool to lament in what I was just told. Can you just hear that voice of hers? "Go away, Mom-my!" If this is only a hint of what I will be getting when she is a teenager, I better buckle up my seat belt, no five point harness because I am in for it.
